Great and useful summary of CreateSpace. I have done the “happy path” version (standard 6×9 format, text-only interior with a couple of simple graphics, etc.) and have found it to be a breeze.

I did the expanded distribution, and it took me four months to realize that my book was not getting into their feed to Ingram. I contacted them, and within a few days it appeared on the B&N web site. I have some friends who refuse to purchase from Amazon, so having that option as another sales channel and as another way for people to discover me has been helpful.

What a lovely post, Freeman. This whole haiku project has become a phenomenon, worthy itself of being chronicled.I’ve been fascinated by the number of poems written in response to yours. It’s as if you have given permission for people to delve into poetry and share it with the world. Quite a number of my friends have posted; I wonder how they came upon the site, but so far, I haven’t asked. I just marvel.
